Holiday to Tanzania
Derek and Diana Callaghan, 8th December 2013It was all amazing, but Serengeti Under Canvas, was a truly memorable experience, knowing lions, elephants etc., were just feet away from our tent. One breakfast, twelve zebra came walking by. On our game drives, we saw fantastic sights and were so lucky to be in the middle of the wilderbeest migration, (although we didn't see a river crossing), it was awe inspiring, imagining 2+ million animals making their way to Kenya.
Accommodation Visited
Lake Manyara Tree Lodge
“Fabulous setting and easy to relax in our tree-house and camp, an excellent start to the vacation.”
Serengeti Under Canvas
“Staff were lovely and we really appreciated our butler lugging water to our tent for hot showers in the morning and evening. Tents were looking a little tired and I understand that when the camp packed up a couple of days after we left, they would be made available for staff accommodation and used at other sites. New tents would then be used for Serengenti Under Canvas.”
Ngorongoro Crater Lodge
“*** Excellent+ ***. Out of Africa meets Versailles for sure, have never stayed anywhere like this before, my mouth fell open when I saw our room. Views fantastic and food here was the best of the three places we stayed at. I see why Jamie suggested we go here after Serengiti Under Canvas, luxury after 'roughing it', what a note to finish on.”
“Clean, comfortable room and nice pool, perfectly acceptable as a place to relax and wait for our connecting flight. Internet service not available, staff said it had been out for three days.”
Staff Review
“Jamie was excellent in understanding our requirements and coming up with a vacation that surpassed our expectations.”
