Adventure Holiday to Zimbabwe & South Africa
John Cumming, 21st January 2014The whole holiday was wonderful but if we had to pick two highlights they would be Rovos Rail and Kwandwe Great Fish River Lodge. Rovos was an unforgettable experience - the welcome from Roland Vos, the superb carriages, the very attentive staff, wonderful food and wine and the company of lovely fellow passengers. Kwandwe was magical! The accommodation was superb. the staff very attentive and friendly and the safari experience beyond our expectations thanks to our wonderful ranger, Casey, from whom we learned so much.

“Lovely old colonial style.Public areas beautifully furnished. Bedroom had a fantastic outlook to the bridge however the decor/furnishings in the room/en suite looked rather tired. eg. very frayed curtains.it did not stop us enjoying this unique hotel in a stunning setting.”
Camps Bay Retreat
“Stunning,secluded setting. Superb accommodation. Excellent service and wonderful food. We needed a doctor on arrival at Camps Bay and within 10 minutes they had one organised for 7.30am next day!”

“Great welcome from Chris , Mark and Samantha. They were happy to sit and chat, suggest activities, make restaurant bookings etc. The only slight disappointment was that we did not get the Sunbird Suite as per our booking but instead got The Forest Suite which was beautifully furnished but was darker and set lower down. We did not complain.”
