Holiday to South Africa & Mauritius
Kamal Hussain & Naila Anwar, 4th May 2017We had an absolutely fabulous time. Starting from our stay in Cape town to the Safari in Rhino ridge and finishing off in Mauritius. Our favourite part though had to be the Safari experience and it is something I will definitely pursue in the future.
Countries Visited
South Africa
“South Africa was great from its people to the scenery and wildlife. We loved Table mountain, Cape point, Muzeneberg surf beach, Kalk bay, the penguins at boulders, Hout Bay and the drive on Chapman peak. We also visited Bloubergstrand beach for good view of table mountain and visited the VA Waterfront. We only wish we had more time. We stayed 4 days in Cape town and there was so much to do and see.
Th Safari in Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park was wonderful and the four days we stayed at Rhino River lodge was delightful. Even though it was not Kruger and you could not go completly off road we saw 4 of the big five( Lion,Elephant,Rhino and Cape buffalo) and lots of Giraffe, zebra,implala, nyala,blue wildebeast,vultures, wild boar, baboons and many varieties of birdlife. Also on the day we were leaving we had a thrilling experience of a large elephant marching towards our hire car. It was both scary and exciting. The only thing i regret was the day we left some of the people from our group went on a walking safari and stumbled onto a male leopard. That would have been the absolute icing on the cake.”
Mauritius
“Mauritius was a beautiful island though we mainly stayed at our resort. We did travel around island on one whole day and visited a few landmarks including two beautiful waterfalls. The only shame was that it was raining but that did not put us off the scenery was stunning.”

“Wonderfull small boutique hotel on the shadow of Cape mountain with excellent service and could not do enough for us. Like a home away from home. The breakfast was also nice.”
Rhino Ridge Safari Lodge
“Lovely lodge with wonder bush villas where we stayed. The food was delicious and they had provided Halal meat which we had requested before we stayed. Our Guide Semo was also very helpful and full of information on the drives. The lodge employs a lot of people from the local community who also have share in the place. This is wonderful to see The drives as I mentioned were very good and we saw plenty of wildlife and met nice people too. There was also a Bull Elephant that would visit the dried waterhole within range of our villa and the lodge. You could also spot giraffes zebras from the lodge. My only regret was I did not participate on a walking safari but that was my own fault and nothing to do with the lodge who had a really experienced tracker who as I mentioned before on the day we left had walked on a male leopard unnoticed.”
Heritage Awali Golf & Spa Resort
“This resort in Mauritius was just right for us to finish our holiday off in a relaxing setting. The hotel had amazing restaurants included in the all inclusive, one of which later I found out was Michelin star. The beach was also wonderful and hotel also had several swimming pools. As we arrived late due to our flight being delayed by 3 hours the hotel gave us free room service on our first day. Which we thought was a nice touch.”
