Honeymoon to Kenya & Mauritius
Alexis & Leif Hansen, 20th December 2017The safari was amazing. It was such a high, a beautiful tropical island seemed so typical after the safari. However, we had a wonderful time on that tropical island ;) Kichwa Tembo was unbelieveable. Everything about it was perfect.

“Travel was far. Customs line to get into the country was horrendous. The resort was expensive. It was a beautiful island and the people were lovely.”

“I have no words to express how amazing this experience was. I was holding back tears waving to our new friends when we left. We could have stayed another week.
The people were incredible. Our guide, Akatch, became a friend and joined us for Christmas Eve dinner on our last night. Our server, Wilfred, or Willie as they called him, was wonderful to get to know. He taught us a lot about the Masai. Jonathan, the manager, was so helpful and friendly. Peter, who was our guide on the last day, could not have been more knowledgeable about his career. He even looked for that leopard for me as long as he could! Salim, how was our butler, kept our tent spotless, woke us up kindly and graciously every morning with tea, coffee and cookies. Even when I spilled the whole pot one day, he was still so gracious. Everything about this place was magical. The hot air balloon ride was the cherry on top!”

“Amazing room! We did not want to leave the room. It was beautiful, so well decorated and the balcony view was beautiful. The whole place was very relaxing. Christmas dinner was delicious as well!”

“Expensive. Water was not even free with the half meal package.
There was only one place to go New Years Eve night if you didn't want to pay an extra $100 for the meal, which was basically the same meal as every other night. Apparently that is typical for these resorts.
Lots of babies and kids which we found odd for how expensive it was.
It was beautiful and the room was lovely.
The beach was very rocky.
The pools were amazing.
The Indian food was one of the best we've had.
The buffet was pretty incredible.
Next time we would probably stay at a less expensive resort.”
