Tucked away beside the serene shores of Grand Anse on the south-west coast of Praslin, the newly-renovated Indian Ocean Lodge is a contemporary, 4* boutique hotel offering great value and a wonderfully authentic Seychelles experience. With its Creole architecture and relaxed, friendly service, guests can immerse themselves in a stress-free vacation or use the hotel as a base to explore the unique nature and wildlife of Praslin and surrounding islands. Although best-suited for couples, families can also be accommodated.

The hotel features just 32 spacious rooms, all ocean-facing with king size beds, set within eight buildings in the tropical gardens. Decorated in natural, neutral colors, each room has been carefully designed by the Seychellois owners to capture the essence of Praslin island, including vibrant tropical prints and fixtures made of traditional items such as coconut husks. The chic, beachfront restaurant & bar offers a range of inviting spaces – from relaxed daytime vibes to intimate evening ambience- while the stylish open-sided lounge is filled with natural light and ocean breezes. As well as two swimming pools, and non-motorized water sports include stand-up paddle boards and kayaks; diving excursions can also be arranged. The pristine white-sand beach is perfect for a spot of beachcombing, although can be prone to deposits of seaweed between June and September. Indian Ocean Lodge is ideally located for excursions around Praslin, including to the Vallee de Mai national park, and for island-hopping trips to nearby La Digue and Curieuse islands.

Sustainability is at the heart of the hotel and includes widespread use of solar panels, supporting local farmers and fishers, donating food waste to nearby farms, and using native vegetation to help mitigate soil and coastal erosion. In addition, glass water bottles are recycled, with the local supplier having an initiative supporting youth sports teams in Seychelles.
