Astove Atoll
Astove Atoll Seychelles, managed by Blue Safari Seychelles, is a nature lover's paradise of sand dunes, expansive flats, an enormous lagoon and a diverse variety of land and marine animals. Open to guests between November and April and reached by a 3-hour light aircraft flight from Mahe via Alphonse, discovery of nature at its finest awaits every guest. The famous biologist Jacques Cousteau once filmed just offshore here and the undisturbed landscape makes it ideal for many species of birds.
Accommodation is within the original Coral House, with just six comfortable en-suite rooms providing a real taste of how life would have been when the atoll was a coconut plantation. Key to a stay on Astove is participating in some of the unique complimentary activities as well as a host of other activities and excursions and conservation-driven excursions. There are many guided trips including the exhilarating Astove 'The Wall' Guided snorkelling' as well as various diving and fishing expeditions. Seasonal turtle nesting viewings are also common, led by the team of ecologists.
With its commitment to conservation of the islands, all guests are required to pay a Conservation donation of $175 per adult ($25 per day). This will be added to the final invoice.
