Found in the heart of Cape Town, the Dock House Boutique Hotel & Spa is a chic property and the perfect base from which to explore South Africa's mother city. Situated on the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, the hotel is surrounded by the bustle of innumerable shops, extravagant restaurants and nearby some of Cape Town's most famous attractions, including Table Mountain and the ferry to Robben Island; the place of Nelson Mandela's internment.
The hotel carries with it a great sense of history, having once served as the residence of Cape Town's harbour master. Embracing a pleasing colonial style, decor is perfectly elegant; channelling an invigorating old world feel nuanced by modern panache and facilities. The 5 rooms and one suite are well-appointed, with individual design and echoing Victorian decadence. All accommodation options are en-suite and include WiFi, plasma TV and an open bar. Rooms on the ground floor possess verandas with views of the hotel gardens, while some of those upstairs overlook the harbour. The suite provides access to its own private garden.
Facilities at the hotel are excellent, with an inviting outdoor pool, morning room, a spa for added relaxation and a well-equipped gym for those who like to keep fit. A personal trainer and small library are also on offer.
