Kosi Forest Lodge
Kosi Forest Lodge is located in the eco-tourist destination that is the Kosi Bay Nature Reserve, part of the World Heritage Site Isimangaliso Wetland Park. It offers guests the opportunity to get away from it all and feel a part of the wilderness enjoying activities like bird watching, forest walks, boat trips, snorkeling or canoeing. The understated suites have an open front protected by mosquito nets to allow guests full views of the surrounding forest and the chance to fall asleep to the serenades of the local wildlife.
Kosi Forest Lodge has 5 twin suites, 1 family suite and 1 double suite. All rooms are thatched bush suites hidden in the sand forest and raised on a private wooden deck. Each features a romantic outdoor bathroom, with a separate sunken bath and shower. The main lodge has a massive Zulu Podberry tree as its focal point with a lounge, dining room and bar all opening onto a large, wooden deck around the tree. The main lodge also features a swimming pool with unsurpassed views of Lake Shengeza.

The food and service was amazing. Whilst pretty basic accommodation it was still lovely, and loved the outdoor shower and bath, as well as the boat trip, canoeing and forest walk. Loved seeing the hippo's.

Staff were really kind and friendly. Loved the outdoor bath! Quite a lot of travelling that day though - flight from Cape Town to Durban + 5 hour drive to Kosi Forest.
