Makakatana Bay Lodge is found in the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, owning the privilege of being the only privately owned lodge found in the World Heritage Site. Set on the banks of Lake St Lucia, the property is the perfect base to explore the untouched wilderness of the park; discover endless wetlands, beautiful beaches and game reserves.
Intimate and exclusive, the lodge offers only 8 luxurious suites with charming viewing decks and large windows to take advantage of the stunning surroundings. Set back from the water's edge, the lodge itself is surrounded by dune forest and blends well with its natural surroundings. Gastronomic delights are served daily in the dining room and bush dinners are available in the boma. To unwind the lodge pool is great for relaxation.
