Sandals Umhlanga Rocks
In close proximity to an array of shops, restaurants and only 200 metres from the beach, Sandals Guest House is a great little accommodation option found in the Greater Durban area. The small hotel owns a quiet setting in Umhlanga Rocks and offers a comfortable place to explore the bustling city of Durban or relax before moving on to another destination. Guests can expect a charming white exterior and friendly, helpful staff.
With a great sense of intimacy, the hotel has only 4 rooms, all of which possess an individual design and are beautifully appointed. Being so close to the beach, each room is aptly named after a different shell, with guests able to choose between the conch, pansy, cowrie and urchin rooms. Laundry service is provided twice daily and rooms are equipped with all manner of modern amenities, including: air conditioning, WiFi hotspots, private safe, and satellite TV. All rooms are en-suite, two of which feature a bath as well as a shower. The Durban sunshine is perfect for topping up a tan, with the chance to do so around the hotel pool. Guests can sip a sundowner from the bar and look out to sea from the patio area. The surrounding area has plenty to offer, with a number of activities including local tours and guided nature walks.
