Madikwe Safari Lodge is situated in the heart of the richly diverse and malaria-free 75 000-hectare Madikwe Game Reserve, one of South Africa's biggest wildlife sanctuaries. Madikwe's diverse geology and broad mix of habitats allows a wide range of African wildlife to flourish, including the Big Five, cheetah and a thriving population of wild dog. Set on a gentle slope nestled between two rolling hills, Madikwe Safari Lodge overlooks game-filled plains with the Dwarsberg Hills in the distance and the Marico River nearby.
Madikwe Safari Lodge comprises three intimate camps - Lelapa Lodge, Kopano Lodge and Dithaba Lodge - each uniquely different and separately run lodge with its own main area and kitchen. The Lelapa Lodge with its 12 suites is best suited for families and runs a complimentary program of enthralling activities for children. Kopano Lodge meaning 'small gathering' comprises only 4 suites perfect for a group of friends or family to hire exclusively. Translating to 'mountain' Dithaba Lodge is located higher up on the mountain offering incredible views. Its 4 suites offer an exclusive experience for couples wanting complete privacy. All suites include air-conditioning, fans, indoor and outdoor showers, private plunge pools and private decks.
