Simbavati River Lodge is set on the banks of the Greater Kruger National Park's Nhlaralumi River in the Timbavati Private Game Reserve. The Timbavati offers exceptional game viewing including all the Big 5, most notably leopard. A flood-lit waterhole right in front of the lodge is frequently visited by herds of elephants
The lodge has a traditional safari ambience but with a contemporary twist in terms of décor. There are 11 rooms in total including Luxury Safari Tents, Tented Pool Suites and Family Chalets. The main lodge area has a deck with expansive river views, an outside dining area, bar and swimming pool. With its safari spa and fitness center the lodge caters nicely to honeymooners and couples but also appeals to families with its Cubs Club kids center and Family Chalets.

Holiday to Simbavati River Lodge
This was hands down the highlight of our trip! Although we originally booked at River Lodge, we received an upgrade to the beautiful Mvubu Cottage due to possible construction. We loved Simbavati River Lodge! The accommodations were impeccable. On our first day there, elephants walked directly in front of our tent!
