Simbavati River Lodge is set on the banks of the Greater Kruger National Park's Nhlaralumi River in the Timbavati Private Game Reserve. The Timbavati offers exceptional game viewing including all the Big 5, most notably leopard. A flood-lit waterhole right in front of the lodge is frequently visited by herds of elephants
The lodge has a traditional safari ambience but with a contemporary twist in terms of décor. There are 11 rooms in total including Luxury Safari Tents, Tented Pool Suites and Family Chalets. The main lodge area has a deck with expansive river views, an outside dining area, bar and swimming pool. With its safari spa and fitness center the lodge caters nicely to honeymooners and couples but also appeals to families with its Cubs Club kids center and Family Chalets.

Honeymoon to Simbavati River Lodge
All the employees here were extremely kind and helpful. The property was great, but we were unfortunately met without power and plumbing for half of our stay. We understand things happen, but it would’ve been nice if we had been compensated a little. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay…
