Uga Riva

Uga Riva is a charming heritage-style manor hotel in Negombo, just a 30-minute drive from the international airport. The white-washed building with its red-tiled roof is surrounded by lush tropical gardens, creating a serene atmosphere. With a swimming pool and seven beautifully appointed guest rooms, this property offers an ideal setting for beginning or concluding a tour of Sri Lanka.

The air-conditioned rooms at Uga Riva exude sophistication, with a neutral color palate of white and cream complemented by antique wooden furniture. Complete with mod-cons such as Nespresso coffee machines, flat-screen TV and mini bar. The Superior Rooms, feature traditional four-poster beds and an en-suite bathroom with rain shower. With almost 1000sqft of space, the Premier Suite beautifully reflects the grandeur of this 180-year-old building, with a large living room and private veranda in addition to the en-suite bedroom. Outside, the gardens are immaculately kept, with an array of tropical plants and trees that are home to a number of birds and butterflies. The swimming pool is the perfect spot to relax after a long flight or a tour around the island. Uga Riva has no formal restaurant but superb food is served throughout the day and can be taken in the shade on one of the verandas or in the gardens if preferred.
