Crater's Edge

Located on the north-eastern side of the Ngorongoro Crater, just a few minutes’ drive from the Crater floor, Wilderness Collection’s Craters Edge is a stunning base from which to explore one of Tanzania’s most iconic natural wonders. The last word in luxury, its 15 tented suites perched on stilts overlook the crater rim. Enjoy crater drives, guided walks, hikes, and crater floor banquet lunches.

The tents are the embodiment of sustainability and luxury. The design of the lodge is such that it allows for minimal impact on the surroundings, blending in with what has been here for thousands of years. Each tent has a giant canopied bed with white linens, a spacious lounge area and an enormous free-standing tub to unwind in at the end of a busy day. The tent is encircled by a private wooden veranda deck, sporting comfortable seating with unparalleled views of the panorama. The main lodge area has a lounge and library, a cozy bar area and a dining room. On a wooden veranda there are 2 large fire pits where guests gather for a pre-dinner drink in the evening. At Crater’s Edge you can expect a 5-star fine dining experience where the chefs offer a personalized dining experience with expert recommendations and a curated selection of fine wines.
