Being one of only two camps in the 16,000 ha private concession that connects the Tarangire and Lake Manyara National Parks, Little Chem Chem is ideally positioned to explore these two iconic parks, offering you exclusive game viewing in this vital migration corridor. The abundant wildlife is protected in part by every guest who stays in the camp.
Little Chem Chem is a vintage-style tented camp situated on the edge of an acacia forest and overlooking the freshwater lake, Lake Burunge. The camp is surrounded by the characteristic landscape of the Tarangire River with its impressive Baobab trees. There are 6 tents at Little Chem Chem which uniquely offer a private fire pit. This traditional Out of Africa-style safari camp is run by its hands-on owners Fabia Bausch and Nicolas Negre who pride themselves on serving their guests delicious wholesome fare which is beautifully presented - a marvel for being cooked in a bush kitchen. Its sister camp Chem Chem Lodge can be visited by arrangement, where there is a spa and pool.

The camp itself is absolutely stunning and relaxing, it's an oasis in itself. The food was amazing, accommodation was spectacular and hospitality was 5/5. Relaxing by the pool was a very nice way to end the trip coupled with evening game drives.

The staff here were so friendly, so knowledgeable and we really enjoyed hanging out with them. The water pressure was awesome given that it is a tent and Dave loved the outdoor shower. At the time, we didn't really understand what it meant to be in a concession but after going to the national parks…
Sadly the game viewing was not to expectation due to heavy rains before & whilst we were there. But thanks to Mike our guide who went all out to find us as game & information as he could. Thanks to Jenny & her team for making our stay so welcoming. The food was most delicious & well thought out …
