Found on the edge of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, the home of the mountain gorilla, Buhoma Lodge is a top-quality, intimate lodge. The outlook from the lodge delivers overwhelming views of the ancient forest that are nothing short of spectacular. The lodge is less than five minutes walk from the start of the gorilla tracking point.
Buhoma Lodge offers 10 chalets, each one built from local materials. Each room features huge windows and a private veranda offering stunning views of the forest canopy and the Bwindi National Park. Inside the spacious rooms are comfortable beds and an en suite bathroom with a hot shower. The lounge and bar area is an open yet cozy area with a warm, homely fireplace in the evenings - being elevated, guests can enjoy uninterrupted views of the forests making you feel like you are part of the surroundings. Freshly prepared meals from local produce offer a balance of international and local cuisine. The lodge is largely solar-powered with a central area available for recharging videos and cameras.

Adventure Holiday to Buhoma Lodge
Buhoma Lodge was another exceptional few days. Once again the staff was friendly, accommodating and very professional. We stayed in one of the highest huts, where we had a bird's eye view of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. The trekkers and guides made sure, as best they could, for us to experience …
Lodging was amazing - Even though I am gluten free, I put on a good five pounds with their delicious 3 course meals! The staff at the lodges was friendly and professional, and the scenery was beautiful. Staying here was like staying in a treehouse - without climbing a tree.
Food and staff were excellent. Perfect base for the gorillas. Accommodation was slightly more rustic then Kenya but expected for the location and we still enjoyed our stay here.

I loved the Gorillas, the Ride 4 a Woman Project and Bwindi.
Everybody was very nice and the Chef of the Kitchen made every Meal a real great Experience.
