Ishasha Wilderness Camp is located in the Ishasha sector of the Queen Elizabeth National Park. The area is comprised of a diverse range of terrain from deep forest to vast savannah. The area is famous for its tree-climbing lions and excellent birdlife, along with a variety of other game such as buffalo, elephant, leopard and chimpanzees. The camp itself is situated in an unspoiled and remote area and is an idyllic retreat for people who truly enjoy the wilderness.
There are 10 canvas tents on offer in this small and intimate camp. The Meru-style tents are very comfortable and spacious, with a wonderful setting alongside the Ntungwe River. All of the tents provide a dressing room and en suite bathrooms. Hot water is provided in the bush showers and guests can expect an eco-flush toilet.
Meals are taken in the dining area, with cuisine freshly prepared and a mix of international and local fare. The camp bar is well stocked and a good place to relax after a day spent observing some of Africa's most famous inhabitants. The camp aims to have as little impact on the environment as possible, with lighting solar powered. For charging electrical equipment there is a power point in the main area.
