Our longstanding partner since 2013, Save the Rhino International receives a monetary donation on behalf of every client who travels with us.

We have fostered two elephants for several years at the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.

Every single Mahlatini journey contributes to local initiatives that protect biodiversity and support community-led conservation efforts. Regenerative travel goes beyond travelling with a sustainable partner, it’s about getting under the skin of a country and allowing it to change you irrevocably. We’ve designed our journeys in such a way that the lodges you stay in, the meals you eat, the communities you visit, the artisans you learn from, the cultural practices you learn, and the animals you admire are all protected and uplifted by your travels. Here are some examples of wildlife conservation our clients get involved in:

• Spending time learning about orphaned elephants at the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Botswana.

• Embarking on a rhino notching experience in South Africa by assisting the veterinary team in tagging a sleeping rhino’s ear for research and security monitoring, before releasing it.
