Time + Tide Chongwe Camp is a family - and elephant - friendly camp set on a forested riverbank at the confluence of the Chongwe and Zambezi Rivers in Zambia's Lower Zambezi National Park. The area is best known for its impressive array of safari activities from day and night game drives and walking safaris to boat cruises, fishing and canoeing.
The camp has only 9 classic safari tents, each with an open-air shower, outdoor seating and panoramic views along the Chongwe River. The main lodge has a lounge, bar, campfire, swimming pool and dining area serving up satisfying meals. The camp also features a wildlife hide for photography and for spotting rare nocturnal creatures.

In Chongwe you felt at times that you were going to see nothing and suddnly you "ran into" a couple of lions and then a herd of about 200 Buffalo.
