Discover Time + Tide Kakuli

Kakuli, meaning 'old buffalo bull', was the nickname of pioneering conservationist Norman Carr, given to him by the people of the Luangwa Valley. This seasonal camp in the South Luangwa National Park provides tented accommodation in the traditional bush camp style, located on an elevated riverbank and with spectacular scenery as a backdrop.

Time + Tide Kakuli is incredibly intimate with 4 walk-in safari tents, and 1 family safari tent. They are bright and airy and designed to make the most of the panoramic setting, each offering a feather-top bed, indoor and outdoor showers, and a covered open-air seating area. The main lounge area is elevated and overlooks the river and a permanent lagoon. Beneath it, a wildlife hide offers up-close views of visitors stopping by for a drink. Take a deep breath and admire the sweeping vista with a refreshing drink of your own before sampling traditional Zambian dishes at dinner.
