Discover The Hide Safari Camp

The Hide Safari Camp in Hwange National Park has been voted 'Best Tented Safari Camp' in Zimbabwe on 13 occasions. Hwange is home to huge herds of elephant and buffalo and is one of the best places to see lion, leopard and African wild dog. For the last 20 years The Hide Safari Camp has earned a reputation as an exceptional safari destination for both its wildlife experiences and its hospitality. Being located within a private concession surrounded by the Hwange National Park, The Hide can offer activities otherwise not permitted, such as bush walks. Casual game viewing is afforded with a waterhole adjacent to camp. In the surrounding area it is one of the only permanent sources of water and is a huge attraction to wildlife in the area, with daily visitors including elephant, giraffe, zebra, impala, waterbuck and kudu. Lion pass by from time to time and wild dog have even made kills in full view of the camp.

The main area of the lodge features a sitting area, a plunge pool and dining room. When staying at the Hide deluxe tents with ensuite bathrooms are offered; all tents are mosquito proofed and have fans for your comfort in the warm months. Also offered are two houses for family or private use, Tom's Little Hide and The Private Hide. Each tented room has been styled individually, some with outdoor showers or huge baths. For an extra special night, guests can book at stay in The Dove's Nest TreeHouse, a secret treehouse getaway overlooking an open tree-lined vlei and pan, perfect fo game viewing from your armchair.
