Kasaka River Lodge

Kasaka River Lodge is a tented camp nestled on the banks of the Zambezi River close to the Lower Zambezi National Park. Kasaka's guests enjoy an authentic African bush experience by participating in land and river based activities set among a pristine Zambian wilderness area. The Zambezi River extends the length of the Kasaka estate, with breath taking views and frequent and very close sightings of buffalo, elephant, hippo and crocodile.

There are two sides to the camp, a cultivated side with beautifully manicured gardens and a more natural bush side which is connected to the main lodge by overhead walkways to allow for the passage of wildlife within the camp. Kasaka River Lodge offers 8 luxury tented chalets with en-suite bathroom, flush toilets and powerful heated showers. The 1 Honeymoon Tent is the last chalet on the river's edge and has an open-air bath overlooking the Zambezi River. The Hippo Pod a 2 bedroom luxury home is ideal for families or honeymoon party guests wanting an exclusive and private safari experience. It features its own butler and includes the use of a private safari vehicle and a boat with a coxswain.

The main living area and deck are nestled amongst the tamarind trees making it the perfect location for watching the world go by on the river.

Getting There

Kasaka River Lodge is a 30 min flight from Lusaka to Royal Airstrip in the Lower Zambezi followed by an 8 minute drive to destination.
