Mfuwe Lodge

Voted Best Lodge in Zambia in 2009, Mfuwe Lodge in the South Luangwa National Park is spread out beneath a canopy of ebony and mahogany trees. Its thatched buildings are arranged around the banks of two lagoons where an endless stream of wildlife will keep you enthralled as you lounge on the open deck or take a dip in the swimming pool. In November the local elephants regularly wander right through the lobby, lured by a nearby wild mango tree.

There are 18 guest chalets comprised of 2 suites, 3 family rooms, 3 doubles and 10 twin rooms. Each chalet is equipped with private deck, en-suite shower, international power sockets, hair dryers, personal safe, mosquito nets and fans (no air conditioners).

The open plan central area incorporates reception, lounge, dining and bar areas. There is a broad timber deck where the swimming pool is located which overlooks the main lagoon. Other facilities include a library, Bush Spa and curio shop.
