Found in the untamed North Luangwa National Park, Mwaleshi Camp offers an insight into this beautiful wilderness. A seasonal camp, open from the 15th of June to the 31st of October, take-in spectacular sightings of prolific game, with elephant and buffalo particularly prominent. The presence of the Mwaleshi River adjacent to camp provides encouragement for wildlife to pass nearby and there's the chance to see lion, hyena and endemic Cookson's Wildebeest.
Stay in simply furnished but comfortable chalets, constructed from reed and thatch. The camp is dismantled and reconstructed each year to minimize its impact on the landscape. Interiors consist of the essentials, with twin beds, mosquito nets, and bedside tables with solar lamps.
Exploring the park is best done the traditional way - on foot and close to nature. Accompanying you on excursions are highly trained guides and a National Park scout. Drives are also on offer and allow you to explore further afield, while upriver there's the Mwaleshi Falls to take-in.
