The Sussi & Chuma Lodge is named after two faithful companions of the Victorian explorer Dr David Livingstone. Situated in one of the most beautiful parts of the Zambezi River on a lush, fast flowing bend, the lodge is comprised of 2 private Chuma houses and a main lodge containing 12 luxury tree houses.
The air-conditioned tree houses are built into the canopy of majestic ebony trees lining the river bank. All have their own private viewing deck boasting superb views over the white waters of the Zambezi. Facilities include en-suite bathroom, minibar, mosquito nets, overhead fans and hairdryer. For guests of the tree houses the main lodge building features a raised bar, lounge area and deck, open air dining area, curio shop and swimming pool. Revitalising spa treatments are also available.
The 2 Chuma houses are exclusive-use houses offering two en-suite bedrooms, a spacious lounge and dining room area, kitchenette, outdoor deck, and private plunge pool. These are particularly suited to families with young children and each house comes with its own private chef and house staff.
