Was an unexpected delight of our trip. This hotel has a great location for the Victoria Falls, and provides complimentary access to the National Park allowing us unlimited access during our stay. The hotel also allow animals (Zebra, Giraffe, Impala) to graze within the grounds and was nice to see them up-close. Monkeys can be a nuisance but Rangers are always on-hand. We were provided with champagne and flowers on the bed on our first evening as part of our honeymoon, which was a nice gesture. Buffet dinner is very expensive and would probably suggest that guests eat at the poolside restaurant instead. There was a small issue where we had been checked-in incorrectly and were unable to access our room as the key had expired. We were checked-in with one day less than expected (which I had signed but didn't realise after a long night/day of travelling!), this was resolved promptly but didn't get much of an apology from staff for the unnecessary confusion and worries.

We were upgraded to the Royal Livingstone which was incredible. The best start to our honeymoon, cocktails sat by the Zambezi at sunset was a highlight.

The Zambezi Sun is a large hotel with a great expansive pool and beautiful well maintained grounds. It was fantastic to see zebras, giraffes and baboons walking around so freely! The restaurant and pool bar are very clean and well decorated and the food is of a high standard. Our room was very nice but could do with an update (I noticed they are currently refurbishing the rooms block by block). It was amazing to be so close to the Victoria Falls and we thoroughly enjoyed walking around them every day. A perfect location! They provide a free shuttle service to their sister hotel, The Royal Livingstone, which is great as it is a beautiful place to enjoy sundowners overlooking the Zambezi River. We also ate dinner their one evening at their private 'Monkey Tree' table which was a real highlight of our trip, it was beautiful!

Tired accommodation, pokey rooms, average dining within the hotel. We all agreed we should have stayed at the Royal Livingstone (we spent plenty of time there enjoying drinks and meals there).

The rooms were adequate. The double beds were small. Luckily we had two rooms which meant Eric and I had a bed each to ourselves. The pool was great for the kids and the breakfast buffet had lots on offer. Had we not had younger children with us I would have definitely preferred to stay next door at the Royal Livingstone. Room service was very poor. I ordered some bottled water and it took over an hour to be delivered. I was asleep by the time they knocked on the door.

This is a very tired 3 star. We should possibly have stayed at the Royal Livingston or possibly the Victoria Falls Hotel. Having had such a wonderful time in the Delta the Zambezi Sun was a big let down.

Top location, room very good but the evening meal did not offer any range or someone who wanted a light meal or snack.. Only offered an expensive buffet.
