Liuwa Plain National Park
Boasting one of the longest histories of conservation in Africa, the Liuwa Plain National Park is found in the far-west of Zambia and was proclaimed a protected area by King Lewanika of the Lozi tribe in the early 1880's. Still largely untouched by crowds and paved roads, this remote, off-the-beaten-track national park is a pristine wilderness, which to any seasoned safari-goer is the biggest attraction.
