Discover Island Bush Camp

Island Bush Camp is an intimate camp that lies under a grove of mahogany trees in a very game-rich area of the southern section of South Luangwa National Park. The camp offers rustic accommodation in authentic bush camp style with walking safaris through the wilderness on offer to adventurous guests.

High off the ground and supported by wooden platforms are 5 chalets with open fronts that provide charming views of the nearby river. The open-air bathrooms have cold running water, bucket showers (filled once a day with hot water), and flushing toilets. The chalets are made from natural materials and fit in perfectly with their surroundings. Mosquito nets are provided for protection at night. Served under the African night sky or in the dining area, the property's tasty cuisine is cooked on a wood-burning stove adding a further layer of rustic authenticity to your experience. The fireplace in the lounge is the camp's ideal location for relaxation and staying warm in the cool evenings, as is the campfire. The biggest draw for visitors to the camp is exciting walking safaris, this thrilling activity allows you to see the African wilderness in a whole new way, and walks after dark are also on offer.
