Kapamba Bushcamp
Kapamba Bush Camp is a seasonal camp (Apr - Jan) situated in a remote corner of the South Luangwa National Park set on the banks of the shallow, spring-fed eponymous river, Kapamba and surrounded by some of the park's richest wildlife.
Kapamba offers 4 spacious en-suite chalets, 2 twin chalets with 2 queen-size beds in each and 2 double chalets with king-size beds in each. These utterly original rooms are cool and simple and entirely open-fronted boasting wide verandas with river views, twin showers, and a sunken stone bath - lounging here, whilst watching an elephant take a dip in the river, can be quite the experience. Every evening clever wrought-iron shutters are drawn so that you can enjoy the sights and sounds of the African night without worrying about unwanted visitors wandering into your room whilst you sleep. Positioned under a huddle of matumi and sausage trees is the central bar and dining room with a wide deck that stretches out with views of the Kapamba River.
Special offers: Book for 7 nights or more (multiple camps can be combined) and receive a 10% discount on your stay. Last minute bookings: Book within 75 days of your travel date and receive a 25% discount on your stay. Stay 6 nights and only pay for 5 nights. These offers are valid until 30 December 2025. Terms and conditions apply.

Guests should be aware that tsetse flies are a problem here despite taking all precautions. We really appreciated the special surprises that were laid on here. We are particularly grateful to Steve, our guide/ camp manager, Stanley, and Mwase.

Superb as well. Loved sundowners in the river. Claire was great host.

Would have appreciated a more efficient shower, and did not like the
large stone bath. Otherwise all fantastic.
