Antelope Park

Antelope Park is home to the ALERT lion rehabilitation programme, a research trust designed to rehabilitate lions and release them back into the wild. This offers guests an incredible opportunity to interact with lions, from walking with them to feeding and playing with lion cubs. There are also a range of other activities involving local wildlife, with elephant and horseback safaris along with night game drives and sundowner cruises.

There are a total of 7 different types of accommodation, ranging from basic standard rooms and camping options to Island Lodges, with quaint thatched roofs, en-suite bathrooms and phenomenal views across the nearby lake, especially from the lodges' bathtubs.

Similar views can be found from the inviting pool and delicious meals can be found in Antelope Park's dining room. Open sided to afford great views and under thatch, meals can be served al fresco if weather permits with food a blend of influences, including some international cuisine. Any guests with any specific dietary requirements can be catered for so long as notice is give prior to arrival. Guests can also expect a coffee shop, with curios and souvenirs on offer and a laundry and babysitting service.

Getting There

Antelope Park is situated a 2 hour's drive away from Bulawayo or the 4 hours from Harare.

Walking with lions, lion cub viewing (seasonal), lion feeding, ALERT tour, elephant rides and training interaction, night drives with the lions, fishing, game viewing from a horse drawn carriage, canoeing, boating, sundowner cruises and horse rides.
