Overlooking the great expanse of Lake Kariba, Bumi Hills Safari Lodge is set against a charming backdrop with excellent views. Large, comfortable and relaxing the lodge works best as a place to begin or end a safari. Game viewing is still very good in the area, however and safaris and other activities can be enjoyed at Bumi. With the lake nearby guests can enjoy water based game viewing from a boat, as well as on land via game drives and bush walks.
There are a total of 20 rooms at Bumi, 10 of which are premium and 10 of which are standard. All of the rooms afford incredible views over the lake, particularly those that are premium and all feature balconies or verandas, air conditioning, bathrooms with a shower/ bath and mini bars. For those more adventurous houseboats are offer taking guests into elephant territory.
Guests can enjoy massages while overlooking Lake Kariba's shoreline and the game that frequent it. There is also a wellness spa, where guests can rejuvenate, with a sauna to relax in, a health bar and an inviting infinity pool.
How to get to Bumi Hills Safari Lodge
Charter or scheduled flight into the Bumi Hills air strip - 1 hour from Harare or Victoria Falls or 15 min from Kariba. Or transfer boat from Kariba town (approximately 2 - 3 hours).
Activities at Bumi Hills Safari Lodge
Game drives in open safari vehicles, walking safaris, boat trips, sunset cruises, bird watching, hide sits and casual fishing.
