The historic Leopard Rock Hotel is a fantastic getaway, with excellent outlooks of the rising Vumba Mountains. With styling reminiscent of a French Chateau, the hotel was once described as 'the most beautiful place in Africa' by the British Queen Mother, who visited Zimbabwe in 1953. The hotel offers plenty of facilities to keep guests entertained, with the chance to enjoy a round of golf at the Leopard Rock Championship Golf Course, try your luck at the casino, hike the surrounding forests or relax by the pool or on the sweeping terrace.
Leopard Rock offers 58 well-appointed rooms, with accommodation options designed to suit the needs of all. Guests can choose from a honeymoon suite, family rooms and executive rooms. All rooms include en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning, mini bar, satellite TV, Wi-Fi and 24 hour room service. Nicely decorated, the comfortable rooms will provide welcome respite after a hard day spent exploring the surrounding area, with majority of them enjoying spectacular views of the Burma Valley and the distant Mozambican mountains.
The golfing opportunities found at the hotel are very good, with the Championship 18 hole Peter Matkovich designed course, adjudged one of the finest courses in Southern Africa. Guests can also enjoy tennis courts, horseback riding and delicious cuisine from the property's restaurant.
The hotel is a 4 hour drive from Harare, 1 hour 30 minutes from Nyanga and only 10 minutes from Mutare town.
