Little Makalolo Camp is one of the best properties found in the game rich Hwange National Park. Comfortable yet authentic accommodation awaits guests along with an incredible wildlife experience. Hwange is home to an abundance of wildlife, with large predators such as lion and leopard stalking a variety of plains game. The National Park is also a popular haunt for elephant, with it not unusual for guests to spot these gentle giants from the comfort of their rooms.
The camp is intimate and exclusive with 6 en-suite rooms, which incorporate solar power for hot water and electricity. The rooms are constructed of timber and canvas, with concrete flooring. While furnishings are not lavish they are stylish and lend to a pleasing and authentic aesthetic. Bathrooms are nicely laid out with separate indoor and outdoor showers, for the honeymoon room there is an outdoor bath as well. Camp staff are friendly and welcoming, with a strong sense of service. Staff also provide the special touch of supplying guests hot water bottles at night, always welcome on cool winter evenings.
The camp offers night and day game drives, the former offering a unique insight into the behaviour of wildlife after dark. If guests cannot wait to enjoy game viewing in-between drives, the animals that frequent the nearby waterhole can be observed from a log pile hide. Guests will also find in camp an inviting outdoor plunge pool, a lounge area, dining room and quaint camp fire.
Drive times - 7 hours 30 min drive from Bulawayo and 5 hours min from Victoria Falls. Flight times - 55 minutes charter flight from Victoria Falls and 1 hour 5 minutes from Bulawayo.

This venue is a hidden gem. We had no idea what to expect when going on safari. The staff were warm and friendly and cater to your every need.
