Davison's Camp
Located in Hwange National Park, in the Linkwasha Concession, Davison's Camp provides a classic tented experience. Overlooking a waterhole and open plain, Davison's owns an excellent situation in prime game viewing territory, with big game predators like lion often spotted and elephants congregating in large herds. There is also the chance to spot rare and critically endangered white rhino. From the lounge or tent veranda you can look on as game come down to drink. In summer, wildebeest, zebra and eland are found in abundance here, while in winter the waterholes are magnets for large numbers of elephant.
Tents are tucked away under mopane trees and are quite spacious. Davison's Camp offers only 9 tents in total, 8 of which are standard and one tailored to families. The property would be better suited to older children, with the area around camp completely unfenced and open to the wilderness. Tents are relatively simplistic, with a canvas roof and concrete floor. However, accommodation is comfortable with twin or double beds and en-suite bathrooms. It's a good option for those wishing to escape the modern world and everyday bustle of life, although not as luxurious as other camps Davison's makes up for this by providing an authentic wildlife experience.

Wonderful camp with comfortable tent, good food, helpful staff. Cameron, one of the managers, even helped get me some cough medicine as I became ill during the trip. Cameron also set up a romantic anniversary dinner, with candles and festive table decorations.
