DumaTau means 'roar of the lion' yet it is its massive elephant concentrations and outstanding wildlife in general for which it is so renowned. Uniquely positioned close to both the Linyanti river and the source of the Savuti Channel between two elephant corridors, the camp's location offers some of the greatest habitat diversity and game viewing in northern Botswana, whilst its extensive lagoon frontage provides uninterrupted views over the wildlife-rich Osprey Lagoon.

Each of the camp's 8 ultra-spacious tented guest suites is optimally positioned for unimpeded views, be it from your private deck or inviting plunge pool, and is customized with in-tent spot-cooling to ensure all-day comfort. The main outdoor dining and lounge areas boast expansive vistas overlooking the lagoon, whilst the Osprey Retreat wellness area offers a gym, spa, lap pool, and safari boutique. As the sun sets, the floating fire deck provides the perfect place to unwind. The camp is 100% solar-powered and water efficient.

In addition to morning, afternoon, and night game drives, the camp offers boating excursions, nature walks, catch-and-release fishing, birding expeditions, and helicopter rides over the Rift's faultline. At Duma Tau there is a constant stream of elephants and other wildlife passing by, so you do not have to go far from camp to view game. We highly recommend the unique experience of a stay in the 'star bed', a luxurious sleep-out experience offering front-row seats to the lagoon and its wildlife. For families, the camp offers a Bush Buddy program for ages 6 to 16.
