Discover Sarara Camp

Sarara Camp is one of 3 ecolodges within the Namunyak Conservancy in Northern Kenya. Proudly managed by the Samburu community, the lodges are designed as a platform to build cultural and environmental sustainability. Surrounded by 850 000 acres of pristine wilderness, Sarara Camp’s 6 spacious tented suites and family house sit perched on a rocky outcrop at the foot of Matthews Range. The camp offers immersive and authentic adventures including nature walks, game drives, mountain hikes, fly camping safaris, moonlit bush dinners, horseback riding, scenic helicopter flights and visits to the Samburu Singing Wells.

Each of the tented suites is en-suite with solar heated outdoor showers offering fabulous views of the hills. Each suite has a private terrace where you can sit and enjoy your morning tea or coffee whilst gazing out at the mountains. There’s also a 2-bedroom family unit called Sarara House, which includes a plunge pool, private dining area and its own sitting room. Sarara House is particularly famous for its elephant visitors to the house pool. The main camp’s waterhole, rock pool and footpaths are frequented by an array of wildlife including reticulated giraffe, buffalo, elephant, kudu, leopard, and wild dog.
