After graduating with a degree in Marketing Management from university and extending her education with an advanced diploma in Communications at Red & Yellow Creative School of Business, Nicole married her two passions – digital marketing and tourism – and began working as the Social Media and Content Creator for The Royal Portfolio, a collection of luxury boutique hotels and lodges across South Africa.

Nicole joined Mahlatini’s Cape Town office to continue exploring the world of digital marketing in the luxury travel industry. Most Memorable Trip

Getting up close and personal with Africa’s wildlife and wilderness at Royal Malewane in the Greater Kruger stands out as one of my most memorable holidays! My days were spent discovering the finer details of the bush with one of Africa's most qualified guiding teams. From guided walking trails across ancient elephant paths laid down over hundreds of years, to bush dinners surrounded by dancing lanterns and the clearest star-filled skies. One afternoon I was introduced to their anti-poaching dog unit who are at the forefront of curbing the detrimental effects of poaching. This additional conservation experience was an incredibly moving end to a trip I will never forget.

Top Of My Bucket-List

My bags are always packed for when the Maldives come calling! What’s not to love? The floating individual villas, pristine white sands, tropical greenery, and warm waters are just a few of the reasons why Milaidhoo Island is at the top of my bucket-list.

"The tallest land mammal on earth, the Giraffe, can keep me entertained for hours on end! Defying gravity as they bend down to steal a drink of water or showing off their unbelievable reach as they eat from the treetops. Their incredibly long tongues make for the funniest photos – so I always have my camera on hand to capture these candid moments!"

Top Travel Tip

If you are planning to use your phone to capture pictures and videos on your trip, I would recommend purchasing a portable power bank that has a USB port for your phone's charging cable. Often, using your phone's camera from the moment you set off in the morning to the moment you are tucked into bed at night will drain its battery faster than usual. A portable power bank will ensure that all of your memories are captured.
