Erindi Old Trader's Lodge
From the comfortable accommodation of the Old Trader's Lodge dive into the stunning Damaraland surrounds of malaria free Erindi Private Game Reserve. Experience excellent game viewing and magnificent scenery in this wildlife haven, with over 10,000 animals and 310 bird species; home to a variety of big cats, elephants (which occasionally pay a visit to the lodge) and rarer species like the African wild dog.
Rooms at the property are well-appointed with a number of different room types on offer. Guests will find 5 standard rooms, 30 luxury suites, 9 superior suites, 1 VIP suite and a family suite with 2 inter-leading rooms. VIP suites are naturally the most luxurious option, featuring a private splash pool and a private decking area; although slightly less exclusive room types are just as comfortable.
Activities from the lodge are very good with exciting game drives led by experienced guides. However, you don't have to leave the lodge to see wildlife; a waterhole is set right alongside the property, overlooked by an elevated piece of decking, which allows for some excellent casual game viewing. Good food is all part of a stay at Old Trader's: cuisine holds a strong African influence and is best complemented by a sparkling glass of South African wine.
