Discover Klein Aus Vista - Desert Horse Inn

Situated in the Klein Aus Vista Reserve, The Desert Horse Inn is 2km from the small town of Aus, in the south of Namibia. The area surrounding it is unspoiled semi-desert with wide open plains and magnificent mountains. The lodge acts as an ideal stopover between Keetmanshoop, Luderitz and Fish River Canyon.

The rooms at Desert Horse Inn are built in a style indicative of the late-century farmhouse. 4 of the rooms are within the original farmhouse building and they all share an outside sitting area. Each bedroom also has its own outside entrance. The other 20 rooms were more recently built and are therefore slightly more modern. The main areas of the lodge are built entirely of wood offering guests a curio shop, restaurant, bar, swimming pool and sitting area. An outside deck area allows you to enjoy a cool drink whilst admiring the impressive panoramic views. Meals are either set menu, buffet or 'plate service' depending on the number of guests at the inn and the restaurant also has large windows to allow a 270° panoramic view.
