Discover Desert Camp

Desert Camp is a self-catering establishment conveniently situated just 5 km from the entrance gate to Sossusvlei and Sesriem Canyon in the Namib Nauklauft Park. Its actual location is within the 40,000ha Taleni Africa private reserve. With unsurpassed 360-degree views over the surrounding desert landscape and mountains, the camp is a dream for nature lovers and photographers.

Desert Camp has 28 affordable, eco-friendly, under-canvas accommodation units with adobe-style walls. All the rooms are ensuite (shower only) and are twin-bedded with fold-out sleeper couch for children (under 12). Your private shaded veranda overlooks the vast desert plains and features a barbeque, wooden table and chairs, kitchenette with a wash up area, under counter fridge and a 2-plate hob. Self-caterers can order fresh food daily from reception (private chefs can also be provided on request) whilst those not wishing to cook on holiday can enjoy all their meals at the nearby Sossusvlei Lodge. The central area at Desert Camp offers a serviced bar with big screen TV, sparkling swimming pool and 2 communal boma areas with cooking and washing up facilities, perfect for traveling groups.
