Discover Al Waha at Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa

The largest of the three hotels that comprise Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa, Al Waha is designed to appeal to families and has a distinctively Arabic style. Al Waha translates as 'The Oasis' and the hotel lives up to its name boasting a number of swimming pools, including a splash pad play area and main pool, as well as a kids club to help keep younger guests entertained. Al Waha is also linked by a lazy river to the pool at Al Bandar, the neighboring hotel.

Guests can enjoy the wide choice of facilities across the entire resort (with a few exceptions) which include six pools, a lazy river, floodlit tennis courts and a dive center. As well as an expansive spa, there's also an authentic Omani Heritage Village providing an insight into traditional village life with local arts and crafts, while the Muttrah Souk and downtown Muscat are within a 15-minute taxi ride. At certain times of the year, guests can join the turtle ranger program that protects and nurtures hatchlings and their nests.
