The properties we stayed in were outstanding in every respect from the quality of the food and accommodation, the beautiful situation and the professionalism of the staff. This truly was an outstanding adventure.

Simbavati Hilltop Lodge
“A beautifully situated property. The accommodation was really comfortable. We loved the bath that overlooked the watering hole and the day bed where we could read and relax whilst enjoying seeing the animals at the watering hole. The nights were a little chilly but our well-appointed room was comfortable and we appreciated the electric blankets.
The staff were delightful they were friendly, helpful and aimed to provide a very high standard of personal care.
The game drives were excellent we saw ‘the big five‘ several times but we also enjoyed learning about how to track an animal. It was obvious that the trackers were highly skilled; their pursuit of a pair of mating leopards was extraordinary. We were so sad to leave.”

“We have stayed at the Marine several times; an iconic hotel in a beautiful location. The suite was well appointed and tastefully furnished to a high standard. The breakfast was really delicious. We were a little sad that the bistro has closed because on occasion more simple dishes are desired.”

“We did not know what to expect and this experience was unforgettable. The Cedarberg Mountains are quite breathtaking we have never seen anything like this before; the stark beauty of the environment is beyond words. The resort is highly recommended the accommodation is first rate from natural bathing products to homemade cakes and biscuits in the suits.
This really is a location for fine dining and the sommelier is both knowledgeable and really friendly as are all the staff. We also enjoyed superb cocktails by the fire!
The drives are great fun the guide really has a good knowledge of the natural environment and the animals that live in the mountain; we very much enjoyed the cave art- extraordinary!
The spa is ‘top notch’ the skill and personal care taken by the staff is second to none. A magical experience.”
