“Very welcoming! Out of this world amazing meals! It was wonderful to have such a wonderful suite and staff. We were able to recover from our flight (24 hours of flying time) and we’re ready to start our Safari the next morning.”

“The drive to the top of the crater took much longer than expected but the view at 7600 ft up was amazing! The tented cabins were so comfortable. The queen size bed was very comfortable and at night staff would put hot water bottles in each bed to warm up the blankets. We also had a heater in the room we used for 30 minutes to take the chill off the room. Loved our shower! Plenty of hot showers for both of us. Each 3 course meal was very yummy. When we went out during the day for our safari staff packed a huge picnic basket with a full three course lunch.”

“Amazing staff, out of the world meals…so yummy and filling. Tented cabins were well equipped and comfortable to relax in after a long day of searching for animals. Staff at night always kept a close eye out for any animals wandering through camp. In the morning we had a hot air balloon ride our guide met up with us and picked us up so we could start our day of looking for leopard, lions, and rhinos.”

“Wonderful hotel. Wonderful location. Buffet that was set up had an amazing choice. Loved all the seafood choices! We had an amazing dinner at Beach House which is a 2-minute from the hotel. Breathtaking sunset and dinner was exceptional! We had a half day walking tour of Stone Town. Loved our guide and learned so much. The open market was a treasure that I wish we would have had more time to explore. Great place to pick up spices!”
Gold Zanzibar Beach House and Spa
“Room was beautiful. Every day we had beautiful designs made with flowers on our bed. The breakfast and dinner buffets were loaded with so many choices. The pool is a saltwater and is huge. Plenty of chairs. Beach is ok. A lot of broken shells and coral so found it more comfortable to wear shoes on the beach. Be prepared when on the beach to have lots of folks approach you looking to sell you items or boat rides. At dinner time (starts at 7:30pm) different venders would come into the resort to sell their souvenirs. We also found a small little store right outside the resort gates that had cheap snacks and some souvenirs too. On the day we left, our flight didn’t leave until 11:30pm. The manager was very kind and had a room set up so we could relax and shower before leaving for the airport at 7 pm.”
