Honeymoon to South Africa
Lindsay Cerese, 24th October 2022We had the most incredible honeymoon to South Africa! It was truly the trip of a lifetime and one we will forever remember. The private Cape Peninsula tour in Cape Town was so great and one of our favorite days in Cape Town. Our guide, Randy, was so kind, passionate, thoughtful and knowledgeable. We loved Franschhoek and the wine tram! The town is so charming and views were beautiful. The safari was of course the highlight. Truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience and we did not want to leave!

The Clarendon Fresnaye
“We stayed 4 nights and stayed at the Clarendon Fresnaye. The staff was all smiles and so incredibly kind and friendly from the moment we arrived until we checked out. The property was very cute and clean. Our room felt much smaller than what we anticipated a superior room to be from the website descriptions/photos, but it wasn't a big deal since we weren't spending much time in it anyway. While there wasn't a whole lot within walking distance since its in a mostly residential area, this was not an issue for us as it was a very quick and affordable Uber to get anywhere we wanted to go.”
Avondrood Guest House
“The Avondrood is one of our favorite places we've ever stayed. It was incredibly charming, clean and in the best location. The staff was incredible and so personable. We loved Franschhoek so much and hope to return one day to the Avondrood!”
Ngala Safari Lodge
“We could talk endlessly about our experience at Ngala Safari Lodge as it was truly the most amazing experience we have ever had and likely will never be able to top.
The accommodations were beautiful and spacious. The dining area and other common areas, including the pool, were open-air and so nice. We saw elephants and Cape buffalo come right up to the water trough by the pool for some water!
The staff was amazing. Every single one of them made us feel so special as everyone was so welcoming and friendly. The food was incredible and every meal or snack was more delicious than the previous - we never went hungry! We even asked for the recipe for a few of our favorite meals and they not only were happy to provide, but they printed out copies for us to bring home.
It is hard to put into words how much we loved the actual safari experience. Our guide, Daniel, and tracker, Giddes, were amazing and so fun to be with. We saw so much and got so close to all the animals, including the Big 5 multiple times! We did not want to leave Ngala and hope we're lucky enough to get to return one day!”
