Holiday to Kenya & Tanzania

She went above and beyond to ensure my mother and I had the trip of a lifetime, even though we only started planning 3 months prior to our trip. Everyone in Kenya and Tanzania were the nicest and most helpful people we have ever met. The hospitality far exceeded our expectations.

Fairmont The Norfolk Hotel
“This hotel was the perfect place to start our trip. The accommodations were beautiful. The place smelled amazing as they infuse lemongrass in the lobby. We had great drinks, macaroons, and the breakfast buffet was delightful. I highly recommend this location to anyone before starting a safari.”
Elewana Loisaba Tented Camp
“Loved this camp! Our tent was gorgeous and I loved the infinity pool. The food was 5-star and the service from everyone there was incredible. Our guide, John, was great and we enjoyed our time with him. He set up breakfasts, lunches and sundowners. The only piece of advice that I would have is that it would be nice if they kept families away from couples both in the dining areas and within the tents. Often we found that we enjoyed the serenity, peace and quiet. A honeymoon couple we met did as well. They made a point to not want to sit near the families with children as they tended to be loud and inconsiderate of those around them. This is not a reflection of the camp, but if they separated couples (even mom and daughter) from large, loud families, it would be great. Our tent was next to the family tents so we heard this mom constantly yelling at her kids every evening.
I can't forget to mention the food, it was incredible and they gave us a tour of their kitchen's garden. My mom fell in love with their mango sorbet.”
Elewana Sand River Masai Mara
“Nicolleen, the manager, was top-notch!! I think she saw how annoyed both my mother and I, as well as the other couples, were with a very large and very loud family. She had the staff separate the family from everyone else during dining and it made such a difference. We had birds, monkeys and a mongoose come to our table because little kids weren't screaming and chasing them away. It was delightful! The tent was beautiful and we loved the outdoor shower and nice bathtub. Our guide, Joel, was the ABSOLUTE BEST GUIDE we had during our two-week trip. They went above and beyond to make our time there unforgettable.
The lattes were the best I've had in years! The food was incredible. The chef was 5 stars! They also were so nice and brought tea to our tent at night. The service really exceeded our expectations. Joel was also the most engaging guide we had!”
Elewana Serengeti Migration Camp
“The camp was beautiful and we loved listening to the hippos every night while we fell asleep. They went above and beyond to move our tent closer to the entrance when they saw that my mom was having a hard time walking far and there were too many stairs for her knee. The food was incredible and we had the best service. I got reflexology from Anna and it was the best foot massage of my life!
I loved how the staff sang songs for everyone every night. The only thing I would say is we loved our guide driver, Angela, but it seemed that Pascal (the other guide driver) didn't want to be there. We went out later than others and came back earlier. They did set up an amazing lunch for us in the Serengeti, and we loved that!”
The Highlands Ngorongoro
“Once we arrived after the four planes and three-hour dirt road track, a visit to a Maasai village, and a stop at the rim, we were exhausted. They also went above and beyond and changed the tent to accommodate my mom's knee. I did get very ill after dinner there on our second to last night so we didn't eat dinner the last night. It's a beautiful place, it's just a very long drive from Lake Manyara.”
