Ngala Tented Camp
“Absolutely stunning. A very warm and intimate vibe. The tents were beautiful, all equipped with air-con, proper beds, and fully fitted bathrooms. All the luxuries you need, but somehow keeping it authentic. The food we had here was the best of the trip. The service was very personal. This camp struck a beautiful balance of a true African experience and still providing the best of the best. I would love to come back here. They have no boma, and the individual tents have no private plunge pool, which did not bother us at all. The views from the tents differ. We were very fortunate (thank you Mahlatini!!) to have a view of the sandy riverbed, and that was amazing.
Lots of the other tents just looked into the bush. We absolutely LOVED our stay here. The staff was amongst the best I have encountered in Africa, and I have travelled very extensively through Africa. Our ranger Nick and our superb tracker Chris, what can I say? You were the best of the best. Chris, you could see animals, when we couldn't even see them with our binoculars! We had some thrilling times chasing the wildlife. A lot of the staff at Ngala has been there for over 10 years, and that says a lot in itself. So Well done Ngala!!”
Tengile River Lodge
“Tengile River Lodge is an absolutely, exquisitely beautiful lodge. It is the best of the best. The lodges are HUGE! The biggest lodge I have stayed in. Their outside space was very nice indeed. Beautiful balcony overlooking the Sabi Sand river, with amazing views of animals drinking in the river. Outstanding. The private plunge pool and outside shower were amazing.
The inside of the lodges are just stunningly beautiful. They are fairly well spread out, some quite a walk from the reception area. This did not bother us. The service was very good, and the food was wonderful. The game in the Sabi Sands is something..... WOW is all I can say. You will see the Big 5 nearly every day. The sightings are just stunning. Our ranger Warren and our tracker Kenny were brilliant and very professional, and tracked whatever we wished to see. A very sophisticated and beautiful lodge.”
