“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The staff was so helpful, attentive, and friendly and the room and grounds were beautiful. The complimentary breakfast was a great perk.”
Avondrood Guest House
“We were quite disappointed with this stay. We encountered a few issues with our room, and overall, it was not what we would have expected from a 4-star hotel. When we arrived in the evening, our room was freezing cold as we had arrived in the afternoon, and it seemed they had just turned the heat on minutes before we walked in. Furthermore, due to load shedding, the heater went off while we were at dinner, and it was incredibly cold when we returned home and while we were going to bed. The room also had a very musty smell, which was quite unpleasant. We were unaware that the staff was not available during the night, so there was also no one to contact.”
