Four Rosmead Boutique Guesthouse
“This was an absolutely lovely place to stay and the staff was fabulous. Each concierge knew everything about our stay and our plans and they were all incredibly helpful and efficient. The rooms were gorgeous, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was perfect. I would highly recommend this guesthouse and I'd love to stay there again someday.”
Zambezi Expeditions Safari Camp
“An extraordinary experience at every level! The service was impeccable, the staff was warm, welcoming, thoughtful, and gracious at every possible moment. They were always prepared with something extra - from a cool towel and homemade gluten-free toast to replacing the zipper on my tent when there was a freak storm in the middle of the night. The guide (Dennis) was incredibly knowledgeable, intuitive, and resourceful. He was a wonderful teacher and explained so many interesting things to us, we all felt like we learned so much about all the animals and their unique traits and rituals. We were also very interested to learn about the organizations supported by African Bush Camps and were pleased that we played a small part in giving back to the local community. Truly a wonderful stay and an incredibly well-run company.”
Old Drift Lodge
“This was a terrible disappointment. From the attitude of some of the staff members to the bug infestation in one of our rooms, it was not worth the money. From the moment we arrived we felt like we were an afterthought instead of welcomed guests.
When each of my daughters got dozens and dozens of bites on their feet, ankles, and legs while sleeping we were made to feel like it was an inconvenience for them to address the problem. Ultimately they explained that they had to fumigate everything after finding an infestation. Bug infestations are not expected or acceptable at any hotel under any circumstances and I honestly would have expected much more than a token apology.
In addition, one of my daughters became ill on the last day and since we were due to leave the management guided us to a local clinic instead of calling a doctor as we requested. We felt like they were eager to get rid of us, especially when we arrived at the clinic they recommended only to find it closed.
We would never recommend this hotel under any circumstances.”
Pioneers Lodge
“This hotel was significantly better than the Old Drift Lodge. The staff was helpful, kind, polite and professional. It was a charming hotel, the rooms were very clean, the grounds were well-tended, the pools were a welcomed respite, and the food was excellent. Although we were only there for one night, they made us feel very welcome in a very short time.”
