Xavier Le Mintier, 19th November 2023Elewana Tortilis was quite good. Mara Nyika was genuinely exceptional but Agama Amboseli was a mistake. All together, thanks to Nyika, the safari/game drive part of it was memorable.

“This choice was a surprise and a mistake given our focus on game drive. The lodge had just been opened, and the sanctuary is a limited-size private concession with mainly, and almost only, elephants. Those two elements were not known when we agreed on the program.
The design of the lodge is very modern, not having the same charm as the other two which we visited. The limited size of the sanctuary is such that you only need one game drive to visit the totality of the reserve and see only elephants.
Our brief clearly mentioned that we are mostly interested in game drives, and sighting the Big Five, and unfortunately only one of them is visible within this sanctuary. Excellent hospitality.”

After 15 years of safaris, we never had such a quality experience, with such a variety of sightings and experiences. We had probably been lucky, but it was also and mainly due to the quality of the guide, his professionalism, adaptability, and will to provide his customers with a unique experience.”
