“My only regret is that I wish we’d had more time here. I know this is a highly sought-after property and a difficult reservation to get, and we were beholden to a limited flight schedule from Kenya to Seychelles, but I very much wish we had had two nights here so that we could enjoy a full day at the property versus arriving in the afternoon on one day and having to leave the following morning.
William, our attendant at the property, was so attentive to our needs and everyone there was so caring and helpful. This was truly one of the highlights of our trip, and we already dream of returning and staying here for a few days at some point. Thank you so much to Stephen for securing this reservation for us as I know it is somewhat difficult due to the popularity!”
STORY Seychelles
“We had a lovely time at Story. That said, service here was a bit lackluster, which may be unfair since we are directly comparing it to receiving the best service of any trip we have been on at all three properties in Kenya. We were more focused on planning the safari portion when we booked this property, but it is a larger resort that sort of felt like it could have been in any tropical location anywhere in the world. There was nothing about it that was special or unique to Seychelles. If we had it to do over again, we would likely opt for a smaller property either on the main island or on a smaller island to have a little less of a cookie-cutter beach resort experience. The room was very nice and well-appointed, though a bit dirty when we checked in, and the front desk staff was not always the most friendly. Food options were okay but nothing special. We had a lovely time, but would definitely want to explore smaller, more unique properties if we were to return.”
